I stand in awe of my comrades. I say this, referring not only to members of the CPB (Communist Party of Britain) whom I’ve met, but of all communists in history. They are all my comrades.

I don’t really have anything of substance to say in this post. I want a world that is run collectively by the people, for the people. When someone robs me (I hope this never actually happens), I want to have a stake in the policing system that enforces punishment against such crimes; I don’t merely want to pay tax and then be able to call the police and report that I’ve been robbed.

When I get cancer, I don’t merely want to receive free healthcare from the state because I paid taxes for it. I want to receive healthcare because I fought for it. Not just the ability to get adequate healthcare, but also the ability to have a say in how my local hospitals are run.

When I put my rubbish out every week, I want to have had an opportunity, whether I took it or not, to have a say in how my money was spent and how the rubbish collection services were run.

When I turn on my tap to make a glass a water, to keep myself alive and well hydrated, I want to have the chance to have a say in how the facilities that provide me with clean water function.

Simply put, I believe that everything I take for granted in life should be owned collectively, provided by the people, for the people. I believe in a world run by people, for people, for the benefit of all. I believe in a world without discrimination or greed.

This is all I want to say.

I leave you with this:
